Worn at AnimeNEXT '13​ and Anime USA '13

 

In Spring 2013, I enrolled in my first online sewing classes, offered by the wonderful Jennifer at historialsewing.com . ​They were to make Lobster Tail bustle, a Bustle Day Dress, and a 1880s hat. I combined all three classes to make this dress.

 

The patterns I used were TV163, TV170, TV261-R, TV365, TV460, and TV550.

 

My favorite parts of this dress are the hat and the trim along the bottom of the underskirt. 

 

I wore it briefly to AnimeNEXT '13, then added panels to the skirt using TV381-R. and wore it to the Formal Ball at Anime USA '13.
