Worn at Kotoricon '14, Honorable Mention​

 

Now this was an experience!​ I had the week off from work because I had just gotten my wisdom teeth out when I realized that Kotoricon, which was in three days, had a costume contest. They didn't have any rules up. I knew that many contests have "must make 80%" and "must be from Japanese media" rules. I realized that nothing I had fit the description. So, the obvious thing to do is make a completely new cosplay the day after oral surgery.

 

The catch was I didn't have the money, means, or willpower to go out and buy supplies. My only option was to go through my stash. It's good thing I'm a pack rat when it comes to sewing. I realized that my only (realistic) option was Songstress Yuna.

 

So, after marathon sewing, I got her done! Not my best work, but considering it was all done in two days after mouth surgery, I'm pleased. Plus, I won Honorable Mention! How awesome is that?!
