The Bride Witch-Left 4 Dead 2
Worn at AnimeUSA 2013

Well, I think my zombie cosplays have come a long way in the past year. Though I cosplayed zombies three times between 2012 and 2013, this time was a bit different. For the first time, I was cosplaying a pre-existing character, I was making the cosplay myself, and I was doing my own makeup.
I thought the original Bride Witch dress was a bit plain. While it worked in the game, it came across as unexciting when transferred to real life. My goal while making the dress was to make it look like the remains of an actual wedding dress. I sewed the applicates and lace on by hand, then stained the dress using teabags and food coloring. All in all, I think it came out pretty well.
The fingers were made by the lovely Kana at Frying Pan Cosplays out of notebook paper, masking tape, and paint.
